I designed the Youth & Young Adult Directory for the Queens Borough President’s Office, a comprehensive guide to youth services and afterschool programs organized by community boards across Queens.
The goal was to create a directory that functioned not only as a resource, but as something young people would genuinely want to pick up and explore. I approached the project with a magazine-like sensibility, drawing inspiration from American Girl magazines and a vision-board aesthetic.
The visual system combines corkboard and grid-paper textures with handwritten and typewriter-style typography to evoke a familiar, student-centered tone. Throughout the directory, I balanced playful imagery with clear hierarchy and structure to ensure the content remained accessible and engaging.
